My name is Juan Camilo Prada, and I'm a traditional and digital Illustrator and Mangaka from Colombia. If you want to know more about me, please read below. In case you are interested in my tools of the trade please read here.
Ever since I can remember I've been using a pencil and paper to portray all my emotions, dreams and fantasies. I've been influenced a lot by all sorts of comics, coming from all the different streams like American, European and specially Japanese. It is the later that catches my attention the most and the one style I've develop throughout my life and defines my own work and thus, that is why I consider myself a Mangaka rather than a Comic Artist (although we all know it's just two words that mean the same thing).
I take pride in the style I've developed and consider my specialty to be drawing female characters, with complex expressions that depict, in a varied and realistic way, the different human emotions.
Besides my passion for drawing, I've always felt the need to create my own stories in which I try to recreate complex and real human interactions as well as fantastic worlds with intricate plots and filled with magic. Thanks to this I've started working on my own comics which I hope to finish and publish someday. If you would like to know more about these stories, I invite you to follow me on my social networks, in which I share information about them. Hopefully when the time is right and you get to read my stories, you will find them as enjoyable to read as it's been for me to create them.
